	ODE TO THE RUBBERBAND BALL

The other day I surfed the Net
to try to see what I could get
	to stimulate my inquisitive mind
and to chance upon a wonderous find.

So off I set to scour the globe
from site to site and node to node
	with expectations set on high,
The power went off and .... "Drat!" said I.

Still quite undaunted, back I came
to re-commence this hi tech game
"You can't stop me as easy as that
you PC DOS based Binary Rat!"

With no further adieu I was back online
my nerves again settled and with lots of time.
"Now let's get serious, I've had enough
Let's ferret out some mind blowing stuff!"

Be it Nuclear Physics or the After Life.....
perhaps Cancer Cures or International Strife?
No, that's old hat! Just ignore it all
for I've now discovered the Rubber Band Ball!

This "Willie" chap wants to collect
some rubber bands and I suspect
he'll never stop until he's found
enough bands to make an enormous mound.

He wants big bands. He's made that clear
and accepts them from both far and near
But why? This puzzle I can't solve.
Why does he act with such resolve?

Could this really be a sinister plot
to corner the market and hoard the lot?
Perhaps he wants one day to see
a world which is sadly left rubberband free.

Should I keep my bands safe in a tin
to thwart this evil, wicked sin?
But I've never used these bands I've got.
Oh, what the heck. He can have the lot!
