Where to Eat in Anna, Texas

Crow's Country Cafe, near the center of town, is Anna's local institution — a comfort-food café with a menu built on chicken-fried steak, catfish, and several kinds of pie. It's the kind of unpretentious, sit-down spot a growing town holds onto, and it's the first name locals give when someone asks where to eat.

For a straightforward Texas meal in Anna, it's the default answer, and the pie alone is worth the stop.

For a change of pace, Kalamaki Greek Eatery brings Mediterranean plates and desserts to the center of town — not something every small Texas suburb has. Gar Hole Bar & Grill covers the casual bar-and-grill end for a beer and a bite.

Between the three, Anna has more range than its size suggests, and the mix reflects a community that's grown fast and brought some variety with it.
