Prosper Guide

The Outdoors in Prosper, Texas

Prosper is one of the fastest-growing towns in Collin County, and it has built its parks to match — a big flagship park with trails and a splash pad, a handful of smaller neighborhood parks with real personality, and a championship golf course. For a town this new, it has kept a lot of open space.

Here's where to get outside in and around Prosper.

Frontier Park

Frontier Park is Prosper's flagship — 79 acres with a windmill-themed playground, a splash pad, sports fields, a catch-and-release pond, and hiking and biking trails. It's the town's everyday outdoor hub, busy with youth sports and families through the warm months.

The splash pad and playground draw the crowds, but the trails and pond give it range beyond just ballfields. It's the first stop for a park day in Prosper.

Neighborhood Parks

Prosper's smaller parks each have their own character. Town Lake Park has a catch-and-release pond and a solid playground, quieter than Frontier Park. Prairie Park leans into a Western theme, with a red play tractor and a cow sculpture that set it apart from the usual suburban playground. Founders Park adds another walkable green space downtown.

Together they give the town a nice spread of options — a pond to fish, a themed playground, or just a quiet walk close to home.

Golf and Nearby

For golfers, Westridge Golf Course offers an 18-hole championship layout with a driving range, lessons, and a restaurant. And Prosper sits right next to Frisco, so the bigger attractions and lakes of the northern Metroplex are a short drive south.

Between the parks, the golf, and the growing trail network, Prosper covers the outdoor bases for a town that's still building out fast.
